Shanty Town SLIME is a hit!!!
Last weekend Shanty Town Spirit set up a shop stand at the Women's International Group annual Christmas fair. This year was bigger than ever, with enormous crowds attending looking for a bargain whilst supporting community projects. All profits made go to the association to fund the education of children in the slums as well as into a support fund for new born babies.

What was completely unexpected was the raucous over our new product for sale: Slime. This colourful slippery emollient was the brilliant idea of Princess Orfea Norodom (Ermine's daughter/ entrepreneur in the making) and her friend Amelie. The girls produced 20 pots of slime that sold out in 1 hour.

The innovative girls advertised D-I-Y slime-making workshops. Hungry for more, children queued patiently to join the workshops, ready to create their own personalised slime, choosing colours and glitter. It was a fun slime making frenzy! We couldn't keep up with the demand and we had to implement a booking system for the workshops. What we enjoyed the most was seeing very satisfied little customers, proudly showing their friends and family their concoction.

Tis the season for Christmas cheer and for us that means more fairs! As an NGO solely reliant on donations, these events offer a great opportunity for us to raise funds to keep supporting our programs. This weekend is the Coconut Holly Fair at ICA church, and following on the 10th December is AEFC Cambodiana Christmas Fair. Thank you to everyone who came along and supported us by buying our products.
One Spirit, One Heart, One Community.
