Our vision
  • To transform the Beung Trabaek shanty town into a clean and safe environment, encourage and support empowerment and self-sufficiency in impoverished families and their children so as to improve their quality of life.

Our mission
  • To clean up and improve the overall hygiene and security of the shanty town.
  • To provide access to health care and ongoing treatment in order to overcome health barriers to education and employment.
  • To support children to stay in school and assist the unemployed to gain employment through accessing vocational skills training.

 Project key objectives 
  • To remove the mounds of rubbish in the shanty town.
  • To transfer the responsibility of maintaining the standard of cleanliness in the shanty
  • town to selected communities members once the rubbish has been removed.
  • To develop adequate sewerage facilities.
  • To improve the electrical wiring.
  • To finance the refurbishment of homes.
  • To provide access to essential healthcare services and obgoing treatment if required. 
  • These services include medical, dentistry, child and maternal health, contraception, etc.
  • Support community members to overcome barriers to employment by assisting with access to education and vocational training.
  • Support children to attend and stay in school by offering homework support, assistance with studying english, etc and complete their studies to go on to commence a career.
  • To provide access to recreational activities for families such as sports, crafts and fun 
  • artistic endeavours.
  • Regular visits to the shanty town to oversee the well-being of the families living within
  • the shanty town.
